A look back at our festive news
Panto Magic
Lots of groups have enjoyed the full panto experience in recent weeks … oh no they haven’t … oh yes they have!
The performance of Cinderella at Questors was the most popular choice – A Beaver from 6th Ealing was even in the cast!
Royal Christmas Carols
Lior writes:
I was fortunate enough to represent Scouting at the Royal Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abby. It was a wonderful, music-filled event celebrating all manner of people who have given to the community. While it was nice to be in an Abbey full of royals and celebrities, it was those around me that made the evening so special. Scouting was on show with Scouts from around the country actively helping in the service.
5th Hanwell – Festive fun
Ann Molloy writes:
Our Beavers and Cubs were enjoying Christmas crafts when a special visitor popped by!
Meanwhile our Scouts held their own party (and got their Leaders to wait at their tables!).
6th Ealing – Lanterns and Gingerbread
Tasneen Outen writes:
6th Ealing Beavers enjoyed the end of term with a festive evening of activities. They painted glass jars to light up with string lighting, made scented gift bags using cloves, oranges and cinnamon and decorated gingerbread biscuits – which didn’t last very long!
25th Ealing – Seasonal Scavenger Hunt
Jen Schulz writes:
The 25E Scouts enjoyed their annual scavenger hunt around Westfield Shopping Centre where they worked on navigation, observation, and money skills. Tasks included sourcing essential items such as First Aid kits to do price comparisons, a ‘find the Christmas tree’ picture round, and giving directions around the centre.
