It’s time to sign up for our annual winter camp. We are going Wintercamp at the National Scout Association campsite at Gilwell Park.  This is the flagship wintercamp with thousands of young people descending on East London.

What is WinterCamp?

A weekend of fun winter-themed organised activities. Campfires, Camping, Chilling, Wake Up Songs, Abseiling, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Climbing, Cinema, Disco, Laser Tag, Zip Line, Gladiator Duel, Pedal Karts, Dodgems and Waltzer fairground rides and White Water Rafting.

Where is it?

It’s at the National Scout Association HQ at Gilwell Park, Chingford.  It’s an hour drive from Ealing.

Parents will need to arrange transport to and from the campsite.

When is it?

Friday 12th – 14th January 2018.

How much is it?

The event fee is £40 and we are adding an additional £10 towards the cost of food, thus making the total to you £50.  There will be a shortfall but we will be funding this out of your subs and general Unit funds.  There is a £5 discount for those signing up for October’s Crew Camp.

As ever, should you wish to take part but finance is an issue get in touch.  We would hate for someone to miss out because of money.

When do I need to pay and return my forms by?

The deadline is Monday 6th November.   We have limited spaces so may close the bookings before then.

Important Note

It’s likely to be cold and wet and possibly snowy (they had snow in 2013) but it’s very unlikely the camp will be cancelled due to the weather so a good quality sleeping bag and lots of warm clothes are KEY.
