Ealing and Hanwell District History

The District was originally registered in 1910 as Acton and Ealing District but the earliest record that can be found at HQ of a DC being appointed is in the Commissioners Register issued in 1912 which shows a Mr E. Otter, J.P. as being the DC at the time. His name appears in subsequent registers up to and including that for 1917.

The next record of a DC in the District is in 1920. At that time it was known as Acton, Ealing and Hanwell and the DC was Mr H. Martin, C.B.E.
